No problem! Sometimes life happens and you need to take things a little slower (or take some time off altogether!). While the program is designed to be completed over 5 consecutive weeks, you have lifetime access to all of the material and you are welcome to go through it as many times as you'd like and take as much time as you need in each "week" before moving on. That said, if you're after the most dramatic results in the least amount of time possible, I encourage you to follow the activity trackers closely and stick to the timeframe outlined in the course.
Not at all! While some of the content is geared specifically for moms (i.e. healthy school lunches bonus) all women can benefit from the healthy habits I teach in this course. In fact, some of my past clients have shared it with their husbands...so even men find the content helpful!
While all people can benefit from the healthy habits that I teach in this course, I approach everything from a distinctly Catholic worldview and a Catholic understanding of the human person. I'm of the opinion that healthy habits are really just a means to an end, and that the ultimate goal is to become the saint that God created you to be. Because of this, prayer is a foundational habit in the course. I also incorporate traditional Catholic prayer practices such as the Rosary and Lectio Divina that may be foreign to non-Catholics. That being said, any serious Christian hoping to grow in holiness would find this course helpful.
This is not specifically a weight loss program. The emphasis of this program is on optimizing your health, which is why I prefer to think of it as "reaching your ideal weight". That being said, if you are carrying extra weight (that is not ideal for your body type), you are very likely going to lose weight when you embrace a healthier way of eating, moving, sleeping, and managing stress. However, when weight loss is a happy consequence of changing your habits (instead of the sole focus) you will be much more likely to reach your ideal weight--all while feeling peace and self-compassion.
That's not a question! But you're right, the program is technically 35 days long. Thriving in 35 Days just didn't have quite the same ring to it ;)
Most habit gurus will tell you that you should focus on just changing one habit at a time in order to make habit change "stick". And while that's usually sound advice, the problem is that it can be an extremely slow process and it might take quite a while before you notice any real benefits in your life. That tends to discourage people and they end up quitting too soon. To prevent that from happening to you, this program asks you to tackle 5 major "pillar" areas at the same time by making tiny changes in each area that build from week-to-week. The goal is to "kickstart" your healthy habits and to help you feel momentum and progress right away so you stay motivated for long-haul changes. After the initial 35 days, feel free to take each new habit one at a time :)
Typically, the cost of a single session with a health coach starts at around $200 and you would need between 6-12 sessions in order to accomplish all that this program sets out to do. That's $1200-$2400, which is prohibitively expensive for many. However, I wanted this program to be cost-effective for the busy Catholic woman who may not be able to invest in a health coach at this time--so in order to keep the price as low as possible, I've removed live coaching from this course so that I can offer it at the lowest price point for anyone who can't afford my 1:1 or group coaching services at this time.
